ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES 737 DOWN OFF LEBANESE COAST

An an Ethiopian Airlines crashed shortly after take-off into the Mediterranean Sea early Monday morning. The Boeing 737-800 with 90 passengers and crew aboard was en route from Beirut Lebanon to Addis Ababa, Ethiopian capital, when it went down approximately two miles off the Lebanese Coast.

Rescuers are searching the waters off Lebanon for an signs of survivors, but at thispoint have only located bodies from the ill fated airliner.

Weather in the area at the time of the crash was bad with reports of lightning strikes. Officials say there is no indication of terrorism or foul play. Witnesses seeing the plane on fire sortly after take-off and some have predicted the aircraft took a severe lightning strike.
