The aviation accident and injury lawyers at Bohrer & Lukeman are monitoring the crash landing of Air Canada flight 624.

Twenty Five passengers aboard an Air Canada Airbus A320 en route to Halifax from Toronto were injured yesterday after the aircraft struck an antenna which broke off its landing gear and caused it to skid off the runway. The accident occurred just prior to landing as the Airbus approached in challenging, snowy conditions.

Reports suggest that the aircraft may have been circing for a while prior to the pilot’s attempt to land. Passengers reported a hard bang and things breaking up as the aircraft began to slide. An emergency evacuation was commenced and the inflatable chutes were deployed.

Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but as of today, one of the more seriously injured remains hospitalized.

We will continue to follow and monitor this story for any and all developments.
