Three Dead In Maui Air Ambulance Crash

KAHULUI, Maui A Hawaii air ambulance carrying three people has crashed on Maui, killing all three people on board.

The Cessna 414 crashed into the BMW of Maui dealership in Kahului located on Koloa street at about 7:15 PM HST Wednesday evening. The plane was reportedly headed to Maui to pick up a patient when the trouble happened.

The victims were identified as 32-year-old pilot Peter Miller of Kailua, Brien Eisaman, a 37-year-old registered nurse and assistant chief flight nurse, of Waipahu, and Marlena Yomes, a 39-year-old paramedic and Honolulu base station supervisor, of Waianae. Officials say no one on the ground was hurt.

Prior to the crash, the pilot reportedly radioed the tower and informed them that he was experiencing engine trouble.

The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
