13 hurt when bus overturns on New York State Thruway near Buffalo

12/10/09 A Megabus.com double-decker headed from New York City to Toronto overturned in high winds and blowing snow on the New York State Thruway outside Buffalo Thursday injuring 12 passengers.

State Police Capt. Michael Nigrelli said the bus driver made an unsafe lane change under bad conditions. Eight passengers and the driver were taken to local hospitals with injuries.

The bus was traveling in blizzard like conditions with winds gusts between 50 mph and 60 mph, blowing snow and white out conditions.
